I have managed to talk about 3 artists within the live performance and what kind of gear they use. I don't feel that I will need to continue this into next week as all had been researched.

I have made blog within blogger. The reason to making it in blogger is because its the site if had most experience in using so I thought to go back to it an place all my information.

Do research at the beginning of the day to finish off.

Research 3 roles within live performance

Will do a assessment of what will be required for my performance, i.e equipment, F.O.H, Ableton
  • Do a risk assessment of what the possible hazards are to the public

  • Brief overview on roles within live performance

  • Find out what equipment i will be using, like: Ableton, Launchpads, Clip Launchers.
I have successfully completed a risk assessment of the type of hazards that can occur during the performance.

I have research 3 roles within the live sound/ performance industry. I felt that I have done a good effort on some of the roles.

I have also found some equipment that I'll be using and will need for the performance.

Corrected any mistakes within my research

I have started my composition in Ableton and will continue to develop it with feedback given.

Finished composition and have to practice it for the final day.

I have been assigned to be the mixing engineer. So I will be control of the amplitude and gain of the F.O.H and Fold back, and microphone.

Pre-Live Performance

For my performance I had performed what I had practiced what I had created from my ideas and feedback. This performance I thought went well as it all went to plan apart from the fact that everything wasn't balanced properly so quiet parts of the vocals were loud and made the song sound off because the vocals were meant to be quiet. This is an easy fix as all I need to do is take the track and balance everything, and then save the track with the corrections.

Backline Technician: A Backline Technician can be a person or a group of people that provides technical support to live performances. Depending on the on what type of event they a needed in they can do a plethora of tasks to assist the performers, i.e sort out percussion or restring stringed instruments. Usually Backline Technicians are specialised in specific instruments for performances. So you could have a range of people on stand by for if an incident occurs with something like a synth stops working, or a guitar string breaks. As an example you would have a backline technician specialised in drums for that performance, so they would build the drum kit for the drum player, and keep strong communication with the drummer as if something happens to the drums, the drummer needs to tell the backline technician to he can fix it straight away. Performance Three

For this I've used the same introduction however changed a lot with the chorus. I've made a more "Full" sounding chorus by making more percussion at the beginning of the chorus. Ive also implemented my idea of layering the vocals and increasing the pitch by +12. I still have introduce a middle verse which took a while to match as the tempo and timing was completely off, because I reloaded it in to Ableton again and had to match it up again with the tempo. After this I managed to have it match perfectly and synced some shakers and tambourines to it. I plan to just have this go straight back into the chorus.
